Frequently Asked Questions:

"Required Store Size: How big should my store be?
Answer: A minimum of 1,500 sq/f (approx.135 sq/m) is the store size requirement. CLUBMARC carries a wide range of collection, from careerwear, to weekend casual wear, from eveningwear to accessories. A bigger sized store will better represent the full collection, and thus generate higher sales turnover.


Franchising Fee: Is there any franchisee fee involved?
Answer: Yes, a franchising fee of US$20,000 per free-standing store is required upon signing the agreements. The franchising contract is a 2-year contract with an option to renew. However, during 2007-2008, for the new franchisee trying the first store, there will be a franchising fee rebate, the fee will be returned to franchisees after the contracted period is over. This rebate is eligible for the first store only. Fees will apply for second and consecutive stores opened.

Store Location: What if I cannot secure a good store location to start up?
Answer: CLUBMARC stores should be located on a main street or in a shopping mall. In cases where the franchisees are unable to secure a good store location in a specific shopping mall, the Principal (Clubmarc & Company, Inc.) will assist the franchisee to locate and negotiate a space where the franchisee is located. Subject to space availability.

Training and Support: What types of support and training does CLUBMARC provide?
Answer:

Support: Clubmarc & Company, Inc will provide support in the areas of: Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, POS & Inventory system, Advertising and Promotion.

Training: Clubmarc & Company, Inc will provide training on: store operation training, selling skills techniques training, Inventory analysis, automatic inventory control system, customer service skills, retail management techniques. Our goal is to ensure the franchisees have a successful business, yet at the same time ensuring profitability.

Inventory: What should I do with the excess inventory?
Answer: For the surplus inventory ordered by the franchisees, these surplus merchandise may be returned to CLUBMARC at the end of the season in-exchange for new merchandise from the new collection. The lead time is 4-months from date of the purchase. This return policy ensures franchisee's profitability and assuring timely new arrivals in-stores. Stocks are replenished as fast as bi-weekly through an automated re-ordering system.


Credit Terms: Am I able to get payment terms for the goods purchased?
Answer: No. All payment terms are under T/T C.O.D. or Letter of Credit at sight.


Buying Trips: Do I need to travel to buy new merchandise? If so where do I go?

Answer: Yes, you're required to travel. CLUBMARC showrooms are located in New York city and Singapore.

New York office: North America, and South America.
Singapore Office: Europe, Asia, and all other countries.
